Getting to us

From most places overseas, it is easiest to fly in to EDI or GLA and then catch a train up to Dundee. In both cases there is a shuttle bus from the airport to Haymarket train station (from EDI) or Glasgow Queen Street (from GLA). Occasionally flights to ABZ are more convenient and the train travel time is about the same; you should catch a taxi from the airport to Aberdeen train station.

The local airport, DND, is very small but very convenient (it’s 5 minutes by taxi from the University and city centre, and can take just a few minutes to get from airside to plane). It has direct flights only to LCY (DND-LCY twice daily except Saturdays). You just have to be lucky with connection timings.

There are also direct trains from London to Dundee which take around 5h45m. Book in advance for reasonably priced first class tickets which include food and wifi.
